It is important to know that a baby's skin is much more fragile than ours:
The different layers of the skin are thinner: the barrier function is not yet optimal.
The permeability of the skin is exaggerated and, as a result, the baby often faces dryness issues.
The pH of the skin is less acidic, which can make the skin prone to irritation.
Melanin production is very low, making the skin very vulnerable to UV rays.

Our Thermal Spring Water Spray, Cicalfate, XeraCalm A.D, TriXéra Nutrition, Intense Protect 50+ and Cold Cream ranges have been tested under paediatric and dermatological control and are perfectly suited to the specific needs of baby's skin.
These products are formulated with minimal ingredients for their extreme softness and perfect tolerance. Their formulas are guaranteed alcohol-free, dye-free, paraben-free, and benefit from the unique properties of the most natural ingredient: Avène thermal spring water.

In the event of nappy-area redness, wash baby's bottom with a mild, physiological pH product such as XeraCalm A.D. Replenishing Cleansing Oil, then dry thoroughly.
Then use some Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray to reinforce the soothing action.
Finish by applying Cicalfate+ Repairing Protective Cream to soothe and promote the repair of irritated skin. In the case of redness subject to maceration, opt for the Cicalfate+ Absorbing Repair Spray.
