When should you use face lotion?

Cleansing your skin every day contributes to a radiant complexion and finer skin texture, in short: beautiful skin! Make sure you add cleansing into your facial care routine in the morning to remove excess sebum accumulated during the night, but especially in the evening to remove impurities accumulated during the day (pollution, dust, perspiration, etc.) and makeup.

Use a face cleansing lotion when you want to rid your skin of impurities while providing freshness and comfort. Often fluid and not very oily, a lotion hydrates and soothes the skin, leaving it velvety soft. It also prepares the skin for skincare such as hydrating creams and eye care creams.

The cleansing lotion is particularly recommended for sensitive skin as it doesn’t have to be rinsed off and, therefore, your skin doesn’t need to come into contact with hard, chlorinated tap water. Hard water tends to cause irritation and skin dryness.

Be careful not to confuse the cleansing lotion with toning lotion, which is used to perfect makeup removal and cleansing by eliminating the last impurities or traces of hard water.

How do you apply lotion to the face?

Facial cleansing lotion should be applied with a cotton wool pad, but be careful not to rub your skin too hard so as not to irritate it. If you have reactive skin, apply the cleansing lotion with your fingertips instead, massaging lightly in a circular motion to ensure that your makeup is gently removed. Then wipe your face, without rubbing, with a moist tissue or cotton wool. For an even more intense soothing effect, spray a mist of Thermal Spring Water Spray all over your face.

Our facial cleansing lotions can be applied to cheeks as well as to eyes and lips. Don't forget to also clean the fragile and blemish-prone areas of the neck and chest area.
